Real Madrid have continued to entice Eden Hazard to the Bernabeu by offering the Chelsea forward Cristiano Ronaldo’s famous former shirt number 7.

Spanish giants Real Madrid have reportedly reserved Cristiano Ronaldo’s No. 7 shirt number for top summer target Chelsea ace Eden Hazard.

According to multiple online reports, the playmaker has emerged the Los Blancos No.1 target to take over from Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo, as the duo of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are expected to remain with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.

27-year-old Hazard had hinted during the World Cup that he will consider leaving West London this summer and, according to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Los Blancos will now go all out to get their man.

Ronaldo still reign supreme among Los Blancos eggheads despite his recent switch to Juventus but are now moving to bring in the Belgian as an ideal replacement after he refused to pen a new contract at Chelsea.

Interestingly, Hazard uses the No.10 for Chelsea and country but the squad number is presently occupied by Croatian World Cup superstar, Luka Modric.

Thirty people have been reportedly killed in a raid on villages in Zamfara state by cattle rustling and kidnapping gangs.

Vanguard reports that some armed bandits on motorcycles invaded five villages in Maradun district of Zamfara state on Tuesday, July 17, afternoon, firing shots indiscriminately and stealing livestock.

Jabbi Labbo, a community leader in one of the villages - Gyadde - said 26 people have so far being buried since the attack happened.

Labbo said seven people were killed in Sakkida, four in Farin Zare, eight in Orawa, seven in Gyadde and four in Sabon Gari.

According to him, some people who have been missing since the attack have been presumed to have drowned while running for safety.

He said: "We recovered 30 bodies from the attacks and we have so far buried 26 while four are being prepared for burial."

“Seven persons were killed in Sakkida, four in Farin Zare, eight in Orawa, seven in Gyadde and four in Sabon Gari," Labbo said.

Also confirming the statement by the community leaders, a resident of Orawa, Sule Mada said, the attackers made away with lots of cattle, sheep, goats.

"Seven other people were missing and presumed to have drowned in a nearby river while trying to escape the carnage.

They attacked the villages simultaneously and took away a lot of cattle, sheep and goats,” Mada said.

Speaking on the incident, the Zamafara state police command said only three people were killed.

The spokesperson of the for the command, Mohammed Shehu, said: "Some villages in Maradun local governments were attacked by bandits yesterday and three people were killed."

Also, several armed bandits were also killed in the attack that took place in Bawar Daji village in Anka local government area of Zamfara state.

The council chairman of the local government area, Mustapha Gado who confirmed the incident said the troops deployed to the village engaged the armed bandits in a fierce gun duel resulting to the death of two soldiers including a captain.

Apostle Johnson Suleiman of the Omega Fire Ministries, has lambasted President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Assistant on New Media, Lauretta Onochie for attacking him over the outcome of the Ekiti State governorship election.

Suleman said Onochie was dragging the Presidency “into the gutters. ”

In a prophecy, Apostle Suleman had said the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, would emerge winner of the just concluded Ekiti State election.

But, the reverse was the case as the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Kayode Fayemi was declared winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Reacting, Onochie described the Cleric as not being in talking terms with God.

In a tweet, Onochie wrote, “Pastor who is not in talking terms with God but who continues to lie with God’s name.”

However, Suleman described the remark by Onochie as a poorly-executed hatchet job and barefaced lies.

A statement by the Omega Fire Ministries Spokesman, Mr. Phrank Shaibu said ”It is common knowledge that the quality of media management in the nation’s presidency has taken a nosedive since President Muhammadu Buhari took office, but the presidency hit a new low on Sunday when Onochie threw all pretences to the wind to rubbish a man of God with her unguarded vituperations and outright spewing of hate.”

Shaibu said, “Isn’t it unbecoming that a presidential spokesperson is propagating an unverified report? Apostle never made the purported statement being credited to him at any fora and I challenge her to provide a contrary source to the one I just mentioned or produce any shred of evidence to support her claim.

”But we hasten to say that we sympathise with Lauretta Onochie as we know that life itself has not been fair to her. Our appeal is that she should not vent her frustration on the church. The other day, it was the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) that she attacked, today, it is Omega Fire Ministries. Who knows which Church is next?

“After careful examination, we think that Lauretta Onochie is burdened by the challenges of life and is gradually going off her rocker. If not, why should anybody in his or her right frame of mind, not even a presidential aide, sit down in one corner of his or her room, pick up a fable on social media and then begin to broadcast it on social media?”

Shaibu said contrary to Onochie’s assertion, Apostle Suleiman is a “non partisan man of God, whose constituency is the church and has people of different political divides as members.”

“Our major point of departure from the Buhari-led administration is the senseless massacre of harmless Christians across the country and Omega Fire Ministries will not keep quiet until the day Christians and Nigerians are at large consider their country as a safe haven,” the statement said.

Barely 48 hours four policemen were reportedly killed in Benin city, Edo state, armed hoodlums operating in Akwuku Igbo community in Aniocha North local government area of Delta state on Monday evening allegedly killed a policeman and injured his colleague on a road block in the community.

Delta state Police Commissioner, Mustafa Muhammad, who confirmed the killing of the policeman to DAILY POST in Asaba, said “the policeman is sergeant, who was on patrol duty with his colleague who was shot but survived. He is currently being treated at the Federal Medical Center (FMC, Asaba). The hoodlums came in motorcycle, and unknown to the policemen they were armed, the hoodlums unleashed their terror on them on sight, four of the policemen escaped, one injured, one killed, we are investigating the incident. We will bring the hoodlums to book.”

It was gathered that the hoodlums unleashed several gunshots upon entering the community, which in recent times has been under siege of communal crisis and armed robbery activities, before they swooped on the policemen who were on patrol duty towards evening after the heavy rainfall.

Eyewitness, Chukwuma Ike, told our correspondent that, “the hoodlums unleashed several gunshots on entering the community before they moved into the police men, they shot sporadically, operated in two motorcycles they came with. They sacked the community with uproar, after killing the policeman, they left with their guns before they police mobilized, the hoodlums had gone”.

Investigation revealed that it was the third time hoodlums were sacking the community this year 2018 and robbed many unsuspecting residents including some traders who had gone to the market on the fateful day.

But Obi David Azuka, the traditional Ruler of the community, who spoke to DAILY POST said, “We are appealing to the security agents to redouble their efforts to help bring to book the hoodlums. We sleep at present with one eye open. The situation here is frightening, we also appeal to the state government to come to our aid. During nightfall, these hoodlums shoot sporadically into the air, thereby creating tension in the community.”

Other residents of the community described their present situation as pathetic, and called on security agents to redouble their efforts to help arrest the hoodlums.

Indonesian Villagers Kill Nearly 300 Crocodiles In Revenge Attack

Indonesian villagers armed with knives, hammers, and clubs slaughtered 292 crocodiles in revenge for the death of a man killed by a crocodile at a breeding farm, an official said.

Photographs released by Antara news agency showed bloodied carcasses of the crocodiles in a large pile in the Sorong district of the eastern Indonesian province of West Papua.

The head of Indonesia’s Natural Resources Conservation Agency in West Papua said that the 48-year-old victim had entered the crocodile farm and was likely picking grass for animal feed when he was attacked.

“An employee heard someone screaming for help, he quickly went there and saw a crocodile attacking someone,” Basar Manullang said in a statement.

After the burial of the man on Saturday, villagers entered the farm and killed all the crocodiles. The farm had been given a license to breed protected saltwater and New Guinea crocodiles in 2013 for preservation and also to harvest some of the animals.

But one of the conditions was that the reptiles did not disturb the community, he said. “To prevent this from happening again, farming license holders need to secure surrounding areas,” said Manullang.

Contrary to report by the Nigerian army that no soldier was killed during the ambush by Boko Haram troops in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State, three soldiers have been confirmed dead.

Ahmad Salkida, a journalist known to have access to the leadership of Boko Haram, had earlier quoted military sources as confirming the army suffered casualties in the attack.

The Director of Army Public Relations (DAPR), Brig-Gen. Texas Chukwu, in a statement Monday, said the news making the round alleging attack on soldiers and capturing of military vehicles by Boko Haram were exaggerated.

He was categorical that the report is not only untrue but misleading as the said report is blown out of proportion by the media, stressing that it was only one officer and soldier that were injured in the attack

He stated that there was an attempted attack on troops at Kwakwa and Chingori communities in Bama area of Borno State by suspected Boko Haram terrorists as a result of the difficult terrain “where our vehicles bugged down”.

According to him, the terrorists also attempted to cart away the troops’ operational vehicles, but were successfully repelled by “our gallant troops with the support of the Nigerian Air Force”.

“He was given the account details to which the said amount should be credited. After few minutes, he claimed he had credited the said sum.

“To prove he had, he showed a debit alert from Zenith account number 2110746005, titled, Destiny Ayo Adeleke.

“Believing it to be true, the shop owner released the phones to him and requested for his phone number. Unknown to her that it was a fake alert, the phone number was unreachable and the account number non-existent,” he said.

SPEED DARLINGTON SAYS HE WANTS TO BE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA IN 2025

Speed Darlington wants to take a break from music to run for the number one position in the country.

The latest celebrity to declare his intention to run for the office of the president of Nigeria is Speed Darlington.
The rapper made his intention to run for the position in the year '2025' known on Sunday, July 15, 2018, via a video on his Instagram page.

According to him, he won't be contesting in the upcoming 2019 election because his 'responsibility image isn't complete yet.' He says he needs a wife and children to become fully responsible.

From his declaration, it's clear Speed Darlington has got his dates mixed up as the next general election after 2019 will hold in 2023 and not 2025.

Minister For Loneliness Appointed In UK

British Prime Minister, Theresa May has appointed Tracey Crouch as the Minister for Loneliness in the country.

Goldspotnews360 learnt that Crouch is the current junior Minister for Sport and Civil Society.

The appointment followed the recommendations made by a commission set up in honour of Jo Cox, a Labour MP who campaigned about loneliness and murdered by a right wing extremist in 2016.

The Prime Minister said she accepted many of the recommendations made by the commission, and was expected to formally announce the appointment yesterday.

May said, “For far too many people, loneliness is the sad reality of modern life.

“I want to confront this challenge for our society and for all of us to take action to address the loneliness endured by the elderly, by carers, by those who have lost loved ones – people who have no one to talk to or share their thoughts and experiences with.”

Tanzanian Govt Bans Entertainers, Celebrities From Posting Nude Images On Social Media

The Tanzania Government has banned the posting of nude pictures on social media.

The proscription was made known through its Music Regulatory Board, popularly Known as BASATA.

Those affected by the ban include musicians like Gigy Money, Pretty Kind, Model Sanchoka, Video Vixen Amber Lulu among other artistes.

The Board’s executive secretary of the Board, stated that individuals affected by the ban will not be allowed to produce music for a period of six months.

Actress Susan Michael aka Pretty Kind was the first to be summoned by the Magufuli’s government for posting “Nood” images on Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat.

The ban affects any Socialite, IG Models, Artists, Video Vixens, celebrities etc from posting thirst traps on social media.

Other models, Sonchoka, Amber Lulu, Gigy money have also been invited to appear before the Music Regulatory board to explain their acts.

Big Brother Naija To Bring Ex House Members On Show

Organizers of Big Brother Naija reality show has announced return of ex-housemates. This was disclosed in a statement by the host of BBN Ebuka Obi-Uchendu’s on his social media page.

Ebuka in his statement revealed that the ex housemates in Big Brother Naija will be back on a show, the show which will take effect from January 22nd to Saturday January 27th on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29.
