Lady Arrested After Being Abandoned By Her Boyfriend In A Hotel.

The boyfriend identified as Collins Moi, was said to have sneaked out of the hotel last Saturday, leaving his lady behind in Kitale city, Kenya.

Hotel administrators said they had no choice but to detain her until the Sh100,000 bill is cleared. According to Skynest Hotel management, Collins and his girlfriend Marsha Amario checked in on December 29 at 5pm and booked themselves in for six days as part of her birthday celebrations.

By the next day the bill had shot up to Sh9,000 and they were advised to make some payments but they did not heed. “We tried to engage Collins to pay the bill when it was manageable but he responded that he will pay the following day,” said Mr Timothy Simiyu, a manager at the hotel.

After five days, when the hotel management told him to sort out the bill before being provided more services he sneaked out of the hotel leaving the girlfriend stranded.

Last Saturday, he was called by the management and he said he was at Kabarak and that they should treat his girlfriend right as he was sourcing for funds to clear the bill by the following day. The promise was not fulfilled.

Last Tuesday, Marsha called via the hotel phone and he said he was still at Kabarak and that he would send a friend but that didn’t happen.

On Wednesday, he was said to have been unavailable on phone when his girlfriend tried to reach him.

Without any response, the management called the police on Thursday. Marsha was arrested and taken to Kitale Police Station and held overnight.

“He looked like a responsible person. He had so many friends who had surrounded him at the hotel and he bought so many expensive drinks for them,” Mr Simiyu said.

At the station, Ms Marsha said she did not expect her boyfriend to abandon her after bringing her all the way from Nairobi. “He told me he was taking me to Kitale since he had a birthday surprise for me. All along I knew he was the one paying for everything only to find myself in this situation,” she lamented.

On Thursday, Trans Nzoia West police boss Jackson Mwenga confirmed she would be arraigned.

However, she was released Friday following intervention from a senior member of the Moi family who was said to have promised to clear the bill.

ASUU rejects FG offer, continues strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has rejected the offers made to it early this week by the Nigerian government.

According to PREMIUM TIMES , the President of ASUU, Biodun Ogunyemi, said upon reviewing the offers made by the government, members of the union across various campuses and zones rejected it.

Mr. Ogunyemi, who described government’s offer on the outstanding revitalization fund of N1.1 trillion as tokenism, said members are insisting that government should release at least a tranche of N220 billion spread over four quarters of 2019.

He added that on earned allowances, government’s proposal should not be lesser than the total amount released “the last time” out of the verified balance.

Recall that as part of the agreement reached between the union and the government before ASUU ended its industrial action in September 2017, the Federal Government released a total N22.9 billion for earned allowances of both academic and non-academic staff across 22 Federal universities.

Of the amount, academics under ASUU got N18.3billion, while non-teaching staff belonging to the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian University (SSANU), Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) and the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) got N4.6 billion.

Mr Ogunyemi said; “Our members have rejected tokenism with respect to outstanding revitalization fund of N1.1 trillion. They are insisting that government should release at least one tranche of N220 billion spread over four quarters of 2019.

“On earned academic allowances, our members said government’s proposed amount out of the verified balance should not be less than the total amount released last time, while evidence of mainstreaming the allowances into the 2019 budget should be shown. Also, timeline should be attached to payment of the balance of the arrears.

“The revitalization fund and earned academic allowances are the two critical areas on which our members feel strongly about. They expect necessary adjustments on the part of government before they can reconsider their decision on the ongoing strike action.”

TRANSFER LATEST! See The Chelsea Star Striker That Will Join Fabregas At Monaco (PHOTO)

Monaco have emerged as the frontrunners to sign Chelsea striker, Michy Batshuayi, after his loan spell at Valencia was cut short.

Goal reports Batshuayi’s agent, Meissa N’Diaye, has arrived in the Principality to hold further talks regarding a move.

Everton had been considering a bid of up £18million ($23m) for Batshuayi, given they are unable to sign him on loan.

However, Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma is already plying his trade at Goodison Park on a temporary basis, with Premier League rules stating a maximum of one player can be loaned to another club at any one time.

Should he complete the move to the Ligue 1 outfit, he would be reunited with Thierry Henry, with the former Arsenal striker and current Monaco manager having previously worked as a coach for the Belgian national team.

Batshuayi would also become the second Chelsea player to move to the Stade Louis II during the January window after Cesc Fabregas.

Jose Mourinho secures new job as TV pundit with BeIN Sports

Jose Mourinho has secured his first job since being sacked as Manchester United coach after joining BeIN Sports as a pundit.

The broadcaster announced on Thursday that ‘the Special One’ will be an analyst for Chelsea’s Premier League trip to Arsenal on January 19 as well as Qatar and Saudi Arabia’s Asian Cup group-stage tie on January 17 on the Qatari channel’s broadcasts in the Middle East and North Africa.

Mourinho was sacked by Manchester United in December after the club’s worst start to a season since 1990 and won three trophies during his two-and-a-half year tenure at Old Trafford.

“Jose is one of the greatest football managers of all time, and we hope that his expert analysis and charismatic personality will be enjoyed by our millions of viewers,” a beIN spokesman said in a statement.

Mourinho had been linked with a return to former club Benfica after the Lisbon giants fired coach Rui Vitoria last week, but the 55-year-old told Correio da Manha earlier on Thursday that he would not take the job. “I don’t have any intention of coming back to work in Portugal,” he told the newspaper. “I’m fine at the moment.”

“My father is a monster” — R Kelly’s Daughter breaks silence

Since Lifestime’s release of the docuseries ‘Surviving R Kelly’, many have been airing their opinion against RnB legend R Kelly who is accused of sexually abusing underaged girls.

Many of his victims who are now full grown adults appeared in the documentary to share what they suffered while in a relationship with the singer. One of such is Andrea Kelly, the singer’s wife.
His daughter Joanne “Buku Abi” Kelly has finally broken her silence concerning the allegations. According to her, they also suffered their own fair share of abuse as his kids.

Read her words:

“Buku here. I just want to say a few things… Before I start I just want it to be known that I am speaking from the heart, nothing I say or do not say is to hurt ANY party reading or affected by this.

To the people that feel I should be speaking up/against everything that is going on right now. I just want you all to understand that devastated is an understatement for all that I feel currently.

I do apologize if my silence to all that is happening comes off as careless. That is my last intention. I pray for all the families & woman who have been affected by my father’s actions.

Trust, I have been deeply affected by all of this. However, It has been very difficult to process it all. Let alone gather all the right words to express everything I feel. Anyone that knows me personally or has been following me through out the years knows that I do not have a relationship with my father. Nor do I speak on him or on his behalf.

I also am not fond of dealing with my personal issues or personal life experience through social media but, I feel things are starting to get out of hand. Unfortunately, for my own personal reasonings & for all my family has endured in regards to him, his life decisions, and his last name, it has been years since my siblings and I have seen and or have spoken to him.”
She continued:
In regards to my mother, she for the same reasonings and more, has not seen or spoken to my father in years. My mother, siblings, and I would never condone, support or be apart of ANYTHING negative he has done and or continues to do in his life.

Going through all I have gone through in my life, I would never want anyone to feel the pain I have felt. Reminders of how terrible my father is, and how we should be speaking up against him, rude comments about my family, fabricating me, my siblings, & our mothers “part”, etc.

Does not help my family (Me, my sister, my brother, and my mother) in our healing process. Nor does it allow a safe space for other victims who are scared to speak up, speak up. The same monster you all confronting me about is my father.”

She added:

“I am well aware of who and what he is. I grew up in that house. My choice not to speak on him and what he does is for my peace of mind. My emotional state. I have to do & move in a manner that is best for me. I pray anyone who reads this understands I put nothing but good intent behind each word. It took me nearly 3 days to write this. I just want everyone to know that I do care and I love you all. This is a very difficult subject to speak on… again, I apologize if my words don’t come out right..”

She concluded by thanking her family and followers for their support during this hard times.

“To everyone who reached out to my family and I, sending good energy and love.. Thank you. You guys really helped push us through this hard time. This past year my family has been very difficult, all the love and support you all continue to show is why we keep going. You all fuel us. Family, friends, followers, fans, ect.. I love you guys to pieces. Your love is appreciated & will always be reciprocated. For anyone new to my page, I just ask when you come here you bring peace & nothing else. Love, Buku Abi.”

The court heard how Dada and Katrina had been in a relationship that had recently deteriorated. A series of social media communications between Dada and Katrina were obtained by police from the victim’s mobile phone.

The pair encountered each other on the ground floor and a struggle began. During the course of this altercation both of them fell, but unfortunately Katrina was carrying a knife in her handbag.

Manchester City Defender Dumps Longtime Girlfriend (Photo)

John Stones has walked out on his childhood sweetheart and mum to their 18-month-old daughter. The £150,000-a-week Man City defender, 24, allegedly told girlfriend Millie Savage: “It’s over. I want more freedom.”

He packed a bag and quit their £3.4million mansion, hours after ditching Millie shortly before Christmas. The couple started dating when they were aged just 15. John has now moved into a £6,000-a-month apartment in Manchester, in the same block as his manager Pep Guardiola.

Millie has stayed at their six-bedroom home near Knutsford, Cheshire, and a friend said: “They both want to live there. Things could get nasty.” The pal added: “She’s devastated. He left with no real explanation. “They had a lovely home and seemed to have settled down as the perfect family.”

And last night her mum Mandy told Mail Online: “We are absolutely devastated. John was like another son to us.” She said Millie has had “good days and bad days” since the rift.

The couple met as 12-year-old pupils at Penistone Grammar School, South Yorks. Millie was at John’s side as he rose from Barnsley’s academy to joining City in 2016 for £47million, a world record fee for a defender at the time.

That year events organiser Jessica Peaty, then 20, told how she romped with the star after meeting at a restaurant. She claimed he told her that he and Millie had split.

2019 Election: Why Buhari Should Be Commended – Shehu Sani

Shehu Sani, the Senator representing Kaduna Central has applauded President Muhammadu Buhari over his decision not to use any money from government treasury for the 2019 campaign

We report that President Buhari on Wednesday pledged that he would not authorize of any money from the government treasury for his re-election campaign.

The president made the declaration in a statement by Malam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity at the close of the meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) in Abuja.

President Buhari directed cabinet ministers to take advantage of technology to reach out to voters on the need to return the All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration in next month’s general elections.

Sani applauded Buhari for his refusal to campaign with public treasury.

He, however, warned governors donating vehicles and other items for Buhari’s campaign to be cautious.

The Kaduna lawmaker on his Twitter page wrote: “Buhari deserves commendation for being the first leader to openly oppose the use of money from the public treasury for his campaigns.

“Governors and other ‘eye serving’heads of MDAs ‘donating’ hundreds of vehicles: Be mindful of your wrists when pleasing a lion with a chunk of meat.”

ASUU Denies Reaching Agreement With FG

President of ASUU, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi has today, Wednesday, 9th January, denied claims by the Federal Government, asserting that they[FG] finally reached an agreement with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) over their long disagreements.

According to Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, the negotiations between them and the FG is still indecisive, as the team that represented ASUU at the meeting has no final say concerning the decision making, as a body, on matters with such magnitude.

The Professor went on to explained that what they had on the ground now is a proposal from the FG, which ASUU insisted must be written down showing her plans of action ― unlike the prior meetings that the FG always made verbal proposals.

Recall that their last meeting happened to be the seventh time they held meetings over their differences without tangible outcomes from the prior meetings.
