CACOL reveals why Jonathan is defending Sambo Dasuki

– Former President Goodluck Jonathan recently defended Sambo Dasuki, his then National Security Adviser (NSA) – Dasuki is still in detention following an allegation that through his office, some notable Nigerians got various sums of money – The money, according to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was meant to prosecute the war against Boko Haram – The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders has replied the former president asking him asking him why it took this long speak out The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders (CACOL) has fired former President Goodluck Jonathan over his recent comments attempting to exonerate Sambo Dasuki, his former National Security Adviser (NSA) of acts of corruption. CACOL said it was shocking that Jonathan suddenly found his voice after maintaining sealed lips for more than a year, “even in the face of myriad of palpable accusations directed at the acute misgovernance that characterised his administration.”
Jonathan recently insisted in New York that Sambo Dasuki could not have stolen the $2.2 billion he is alleged to have shared among top members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and some Nigerians. The former president further outlined his administration’s achievements with reference to ensuring freedom of speech and freedom after speech; empowering institutions while reducing government’s influences over them and enacting the freedom of information act and the administration of criminal justice act 2015. CACOL’s executive chairman, Mr Debo Adeniran, said in a reaction made available to NAIJ.com that the former president’s attempt at doing a comparative analysis between his time in office and the current administration is baseless, petty and pedestrian. “A crucial time like this when the country is in recession and Nigerians are going through a very harrowing experience, calls for sober reflections where leaders who are worth their salts ought to project what will positively steer the ship called Nigeria forward particularly by displaying sound understanding of the ongoing anti-corruption drive,” he said. Jonathan had asserted that his government could not be accused of nepotism, as according to him, there was no preference to tribe and ethnicity in the appointment of members of his cabinet and aides. But in reaction, Adeniran said: “The former president’s comments are not helping the current situation of the country but rather serving as a distraction from the unpleasant aftermaths of the his administration.

Governor Okorocha reacts to being slapped by ghost

– Governor Rochas Okorocha has been reportedly slapped by a ghost – The Imo state governor was allegedly slapped at the state Government House – Okorocha has reacted to the report of his being slapped by a ghost Following reports that Governor Rochas Okorocha was slapped by a ghost, the Imo state government has reacted. The state government described as false the report that Governor Rochas Okorocha was slapped by a ghost and is in an Indian hospital for medical treatment.
Mr Sam Onwuemeodo, the chief press secretary to Okorocha flatly denied that governor is sick. He also denied that the governor went to India for treatment. “The governor had travelled to meet with some of the investors who had invited him for further discussions on the prospects of their coming to invest in the state.” According to NTA, Okorocha’s media aide said that his boss is a Christian, and does not know what it means to see “a ghost or ghost women”. “He travelled with few economic aides, and we informed Imo people and the general public and as God would have it, two days to the planned trip, the daughter gave birth to a baby boy and he would use the opportunity to visit his daughter,’’ Onwuemeodo stated. Okorocha’s aide, the governor’s wife was already there with their daughter for what the Igbo people call “Ile Omugwo” (visit to a nursing mother by mother) and that Okorocha’s is visit is to see the new baby. Onwuemeodo noted that in the event of the governor being sick, the information would be made public. “Ailment or sickness has been there with mankind, the angle that makes the whole claim funny is the “ghost dimension”, and that explains how spiritually poor those behind this balderdash are,’’ he added. Onwuemeodo blamed the report on what he tagged the antics of some of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) folks in the state. “We accused them (PDP) of being behind the malicious audio because it came twenty four hours after the convincing defeat of the party by the APC in the re-run elections in Okigwe senatorial zone and the three state constituencies of Isiala Mbano, Oru East and Owerri West’’ he noted. The media aide said that his boss is a Christian, and does not know what it means to see “a ghost or ghost women”. He said that the governor is being expected back to the state and once that happens, that the public would be duly informed. Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the administration of Governor Rochas Okorocha of causing suffering in Imo state. The accusation was made by Jimi Agbaje who is a contestant to the national chairmanship position of the party. According to Vanguard, Agbaje who visited Imo state on Monday, August 8, to attend a congress of a faction of the party, complained that while driving into the state, he saw roads that were destroyed in the name of construction.

SHOCKING: Police corporal kills colleague over N300,000

– A Police corporal has killed his colleague over N300,000 – Corporal Tosin allegedly shot Shuaib after secretly withdrawing up to N300,000 from Shuaib’s bank account without his consent
As shocking as it sounds, a police corporal, Daramola Tosin, has allegedly killed another police officer, inspector Lateef Shuaib. According to a report by Punch, corporal Tosin who has since been dismissed was attached to the Ekiti Police Division in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State. Tosin allegedly shot Shuaib after secretly withdrawing up to N300,000 from Shuaib’s bank account without his consent. It was gathered that Shuaib had entrusted Tosin with his Automated Teller Machine card when he fell ill. The inspector was reportedly defecating when Tosin shot him dead with an AK-47 rifle and buried him at the back of a police barracks. The victim’s sister, Sherifat Hammed, was said to have reported to the Osi Police Station on May 10, 2016, that Shuaib had been missing since May 6. She suspected Tosin because her elder brother informed her when he was sick that he entrusted his UBA ATM card to the suspect to help him in withdrawing money. Commenting on the matter, the Kwara state commissioner of Police, Sam Okaula, said he ensured that discreet investigation was conducted, adding that the suspect was arrested. The CP said, “We do not condone crime. We go after anyone including members of the Force who go out of their way to commit crime. We will investigate and prosecute them if found culpable and ensure we gain conviction. This particular dastardly act will not be an exception.” The suspect was arraigned on Tuesday, June 8 before a magistrate’s court in Ilorin. The magistrate, Mr. Nurudeen Adeyanju, who did not take the plea of the accused, said his court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the matter since it was a murder charge. He added that it should be handled by the high court. He however ordered that the accused be remanded at the Federal Prison, Mandalla. The case was adjourned till June 21, 2016, for mention.

Creator of Facebook - Mark Zuckerberg Hacked

Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg understandably has accounts on other social networks – it only makes sense to keep tabs on what the competition is up to. But that doesn’t mean he bothers to maintain standard security practices on non-Facebook properties. This weekend, his Twitter and Pinterest accounts were hacked. The group responsible, OurMine Team, also claimed to have gained access to his zuck Instagram account, though we were not able to independently verify this (Update: See below, his Instagram was not accessed). We don’t know for sure how OurMine Team pulled off the hacks, but the group is claiming it was all thanks to the LinkedIn password dump from a few weeks ago. Millions of LinkedIn user account details leaked online last month — the company responded by invalidating the credentials and contacting affected members to reset their passwords. But the story doesn’t end there, because, as we all know, many people like to reuse the same password on different online services. Including Mark Zuckerberg, apparently. Twitter was quick to react. While writing this article, we noticed that Zuckerberg’s finkd account had been suspended. Upon publishing, we learned that Twitter had already brought it back, with the offending tweet deleted (Zuckerberg hasn’t tweeted anything since January 2012). Pinterest, meanwhile, still hasn’t done anything. The zuck account is still clearly vandalized (Update: Fixed) This is the best reminder yet that if you have a LinkedIn account, you should go ahead and change your password there, and everywhere else. In fact, you should make it a habit to regularly change your passwords on all your online accounts. And if that is too much of a pain, at the very least, make a habit of using different passwords. In case you were wondering, Zuck’s Google+ account is intact. It’s not clear if that’s because he used a different account and password there or if nobody has bothered to check it yet. We have contacted Facebook for more information and will update you if we learn more. Update at 5:55 p.m. Pacific: Facebook confirmed that Zuckerberg’s Instagram account was not accessed, despite the attackers’ claims. “No Facebook systems or accounts were accessed,” a Facebook spokesperson told VentureBeat in a statement. “The affected accounts have been re-secured.”

Scientists discovered the age of female sexuality peak

European psychologists and sexologists have recently conducted a large-scale study to find out one thing: what’s the age when women reach the peak of their sexuality. They interviewed more than a thousand ladies aged 21 to 50 and came to surprising results.
The survey showed that the average woman reaches her sexuality peak at 34. According to respondents, this is the age they feel the most desirable, and enjoy sexual intimacy to the fullest. Curiously, the female sexuality peak does not coincide with the age when women’s sexual life is the most intensive: 20-25 years. According to respondents, a woman of this age has sexual intercourse on average 10-12 times per month. The frequency starts gradually declining after 25, and by 30-35 women have sex twice less often. After 45 the average woman has sex 4-5 times a month. The study also showed that women over the age of 30 are more open to sexual experimentation. For instance, they are less opposed to adultery. Some respondents confessed that they saw nothing wrong with having several sexual partners at the same time.

A five-man committee was set up to coordinate the campaign activities in Yobe state and we received N450m. “The money was disbursed based on a template we received from Abuja and we shared it among the three senatorial zones in the state,” he said. Meanwhile, Muhammed Kadai, who was Bulama’s deputy, revealed details of the sharing formula. “The money was shared according to zones. For Zone A, Abba –Gana Tata collected the sum of over N85, 100,000.00, while Dr Mamu collected N73, 510.000.00 on behalf of Mohammed Hassan Dambu and zone C received N70, 470.000.00, through Alhaji Hassan Ibn Jaks for Dr Yarima Ngama,” he said. The EFCC source added that Wakil also confessed that he had received a call from Usman that N450m was sent to Fidelity bank and a template for how the disbursement of the funds would be conducted. “Nicholas Msheliya, Peter Biye, Hon. Kudla Satumaria, Hon. Ibrahim Birma, all from southern Borno received the sum of N112, 340.000.00. Equally Hon. Kangar, through Dr. Kulima A.A received N88, 620.000.00 while Engr Mohammad Baba Kachalla, Hon. Kaamuna Khadi, Hon. Zarma Mustapha and Hon. Abdulrahman Tarab received the sum of 140,860.000.00,” he was quoted as saying. The two former ministers are currently in the EFCC custody in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, as the investigation continues. Earlier this year, Usman returned N140 million out of the N2.5 billion she had allegedly received from the office of Sambo Dasuki, a former national security adviser, ahead of the presidential election. Usman, who served as the director of finance of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, surrendered two of her houses in Abuja to the federal government.

The name Nigeria as a country will come to an end this week."
